D. Characteristic of News Item:

  Each text must have its own characteristics to distinguish it from other types of text. The characteristics of news item text are as follows:

  The content of the text focuses on an important event or event

  The language used is short but concise

  Sometimes it starts with the name of the city or the name of the media that published it.

  Usually accompanied by pictures / illustrations and a title (headline) that describes the essence of the event
